The Department of Information Technology & Telecom is conducting a workshop on Information and Network Security from 12th November to 16th November, 2018 with financial and technical support from APT and APNIC. The weeklong program is aimed at training system administrators in securing their information systems and network infrastructure and responding to potential threats and attacks. Participants from government agencies, corporations, financial institutions, telecom service providers and other relevant private organisations have been invited.
On the joyous occasion of the 63rd birth anniversary of our beloved fourth Druk Gyalpo, His Majesty The King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the Department of IT and Telecom would like to join the nation in offering our deepest respect, heartfelt felicitation and prayers for His Majesty’s health and long life.
His Majesty the King conferred Dakyen to Lyonpo Karma Donnen Wangdi, who has joined the Ministry of Information and Communications as the Minister today on 7th November 2018.
Lyonpo Karma Donnen Wangdi served as a Member of Parliament in the National Council from 2008 till 2013.
The Department is currently organizing consultative workshop with private ICT sector. The meeting is intended to be an open forum for discussion on challenges and issues faced by both government and private sector in delivery of ICT projects and growth of the ICT industry. Further the meeting will also gather information from ICT firms on the skills requirement to deliver international standards products / services and skills that will enable the firms to go global.
The Department of Information Technology & Telecom, Ministry of Information and Communications is conducting 8th National Website competition (2020-2021), we would like to inform that the registration for the National Website Competition is open. Interested private/corporate/institutes/individuals and other non government agencies can register for the competition in the link given below latest by 3rd October, 2020. The Department of IT & Telecom, Ministry of Information & Communications is organizing the following training as part of the Digital Drukyul project for enhancement of ICT sector’s capacity and capability:
i. Microservice (current skills requirement) for system development : Delivery by mid of September 2020
ii. Blockchain technology and its application(future skills requirement) for application development including the networking aspect: Delivery by early October 2020
